We run fun filled, hands-on classes at our store on Featherston Street, Wellington.
Chocolate-making is great idea for team building exercises, parties or just getting together with your friends. Open classes for individuals are also available. More about OPEN classes for individuals see below.
Classes are presented by Jiri Havlik, better known as George. You will learn the secrets of tempering chocolate and ganache making. You'll hand shape the ganache to make a truffles, then dip it in tempered chocolate and roll to finish them. You'll also receive step by step instruction booklet so you can practice you chocolate making skills at home.
OPEN Classes for Individuals
If you can't organise a group of 6 people then join one of our Open Classes
- Generally held monthly on every Second SATURDAY from 4:30 to 6:30/7:00 pm
- The minimum number of people for the class to go ahead is 6 and we can accommodate for up to 15 people per class.
- Please call 04 499 79 13 to make a booking.
- The cost to take part is $75.00 per person and must be paid at the time of booking. Full payment will secure your spot.
- Classes are held at 101 Lambton Quay, Wellington CBD
- We will confirm with you via e-mail 5 days prior to the class if the class will go ahead.
- If we don't get enough people (6) the OPEN class will not go ahead. In that case we will refund your fee in full or rebook you for next date if you wish.
- You can cancel your booking 10 days prior to the class and we will refund you. No refunds will be given if you simply change your mind after that. We may offer new spot and rebook you.
Private Classes for Small Groups (6 to 10 people)
- Available on Saturday's - 4:30 pm to 6:30/7:00 pm - subject to George's availability
- The minimum number of people for the class to go ahead is 6 and we can accommodate for up to 10 people per class.
- Please call 04 499 79 13 to make a booking.
- The cost to take part is $75.00 per person and must be paid at the time of booking. Full payment will secure your date. If your booking is less then 6 people the minimum charge for the class is $450.00
- Classes are held at 109 Featherston Street, Wellington CBD
- You can cancel your booking 10 days prior to the class and we will refund you.
- No refunds will be given if you simply change your mind after that. We may offer new date and rebook your class.
Private Venue Classes for Larger Groups (16 to 24 people*)
Please note you are responsible for organizing the venue and make sure the venue is suitable - please see bellow Venue Requirements
- Available on Monday to Saturday between 10:00 am to 4.00 pm finish. Depending on the total amount of people class may take up to 3 hours** and is subject to George's availability.
- The minimum number of people for the class to go ahead is 12 and we can accommodate for up to 24 people per class.
- Please call 04 499 79 13 to make a booking.
- The cost to take part is $75.00 per person and must be paid at the time of booking. Full payment will secure your date. If your booking is less then 12 people the minimum charge for the class is $900.00.
- You can cancel your booking 10 days prior to the class and we will refund you.
- No refunds will be given if you simply change your mind after that. We may offer new date and rebook your class.

Venue requirements :
- Standard electric plug near to where the class is going to be held.
- Air-conditioned room. If air-conditioning is a problem try to choose a room which is the coolest (max 20C). If 20C is a problem, don’t worry, we will try to make it work.
- Tables for participants - One table approximately 1.5 meters long for every 6 people
- Access to cold water.
- Car park for the van. The class can take over 3 hours including set up and pack up. As the limit on street in Wellington CBD is 2 hours it creates a problem. Van Dimensions in mm - Length 5265 | Width 1950 | Height 1990
