We run fun filled, hands-on classes at our store on O'Connell Street, Auckland

Chocolate-making is great idea for team building exercises, parties or just getting together with your friends. Open classes for individuals are also available. More about OPEN classes for individuals see below. 

Classes are presented by Shalvi Mohindra. You will  learn the secrets of tempering chocolate and truffle making. At the end of the class you'll  finish eight of these delectable treats yourself and take them home. You'll also receive step by step instructions. 

Valid COVID-19 Vaccination Pass is required and will be verified for ALL types of Classes 

Chocolate Making class in Auckland is un-available from 15th April, 2022 - 15th June, 2022.

OPEN Classes for Individuals 

If you can't organise a group of 6 people then join one of our Open Classes

  • You must wear a Face mask 
  • Generally held monthly on every Second SATURDAY from 6:00 to 8:00/8:30 pm 
  • The minimum number of people for the class to go ahead is 6 and we can accommodate for up to 10 people per class.
  • Please call 09 379 6556 to make a booking.
  • The cost to take part is $65.00 per person and must be paid at the time of booking. Full payment will secure your spot. 
  • Classes are held at 12 O'Connell Street, Auckland CBD 
  • We will confirm with you via e-mail 5 days prior to the class if the class will go ahead.
  • If we don't get enough people (6) the OPEN class will not go ahead. In that case we will refund your fee in full or rebook you for next date if you wish.
  • You can cancel your booking 10 days prior to the class and we will refund you. No refunds will be given if you simply change your mind after that. We may offer new spot and rebook you.

Private Classes for Small Groups (6 to 10 people)

  • You are encouraged to wear a Face mask
  • Available on Saturday's - 6:00 pm to 8:00/8:30 pm - subject to Shalvi's availability  
  • The minimum number of people for the class to go ahead is 6 and we can accommodate for up to 10 people per class.
  • Please call 09 379 6556 to make a booking.
  • The cost to take part is $65.00 per person and must be paid at the time of booking. Full payment will secure your date. If your booking is less then 6 people the minimum charge for the class is $390.00.
  • Classes are held at 12 O'Connell Street, Auckland CBD 
  • You can cancel your booking 10 days prior to the class and we will refund you. 
  • No refunds will be given if you simply change your mind after that. We may offer new date and rebook your class.

What to bring.

  • Apron
  • Pen
  • Comfortable shoes (you will be standing throughout this class for up to 3 hours)
  • Don't forget your camera so you can share your experience with your friends

About Shalvi 

In 2010 while still in High School, Shalvi started her own chocolate business and completed a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Education.
In 2016 Shalvi moved to New Zealand following her passion for chocolates and patisserie and completed her study at Le Cordon Bleu New Zealand receiving Diploma de Patisserie.

Shalvi worked with Jiri (George) Havlik (Owner/Chocolatier) at Bohemein Fresh Chocolates Wellington as a full-time Chocolatier for two years. Shalvi also competed in Hospitality Championships and made various chocolate sculptures.

Shalvi wanted to challenge herself to learn more in this industry and moved to Auckland in 2019, working for an airline catering company in their Bakehouse as the Chef De Partie, creating desserts for business class and first-class passengers in flights travelling to all over the world.

In 2020 Shalvi got the opportunity to join hands with Bohemein Fresh Chocolates again as a store owner in Auckland City.
